TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESS IN THE MODERN

CENTRAL STERILIZATION DEPARTMENT

The activities of modern hospitals are impossible without measures to prevent nosocomial infections. Means invested in hygienic, disinfection, sterilization systems and in the organization of sanitary and hygienic regime minimize the cost of treatment of nosocomial infections.

All patients of the medical institution, when receiving medical care, are at risk of contracting nosocomial infections. This risk occurs during any hygienic, diagnostic or medical procedure and increases with procedures using products that require disinfection or sterilization. To reduce the risk of infecting patients during their stay in a medical institution in the health care system of Ukraine, the regulated measures are aimed at the inadmissibility of ways of transmission of nosocomial infections. The staff of the medical institution is also subject to such a risk.
